Teeth Cleaning

Dentures
We are happy to provide two types of dentures at Rushmore Dental. A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth. Full dentures are for when all teeth are missing, while partial dentures are best when some natural teeth remain.
Full dentures are either “conventional” or “immediate.” Conventional is made after the teeth have been removed and the gum tissue has begun to heal. On the other hand, immediate dentures are made in advance and positioned just as the teeth are removed. By doing this, the patient does not have to go without teeth during their healing period.
The main disadvantage of immediate dentures compared with conventional dentures is that they require more adjustments to fit properly during the healing process. Generally, they should be only a temporary solution until conventional dentures can be made. Learn more here.
